Overview

The ST100PIR is an exceptional extractor fan. Using an IP45 rated motor, it is "resistant to jets of water from all angles" and can therefore be installed anywhere in the bathroom. Very powerful and quiet, it is also very energy efficient, using only 8w on full power. The ST100PIR comes with an integral PIR (passive infra red) sensor which automatically operates the fan when it detects movement up to 4m away.

It is incredible to find these three, seemingly opposing attributes in the one fan. The fact that it is also IPX5 rated and can be installed anywhere in the bathroom without requiring a separate transformer is just fantastic.

The ST100PIR features an integral PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensor which automatically detects movement and switches the fan on. This is particularly useful in properties where bathroom users may neglect to turn on the fan or where situating an appropriate switch is difficult.

The Silent Tornado may be ducted up to 5m in a straight run or 3m with with 2 right angled bends and can therefore be installed on the ceiling and ducted through the loft without compromising performance.

Please note, the manufacturer states that although this fan can be ceiling mounted, this can affect the effectiveness of the PIR beam angle which can limit the range that the unit will pick up movement to trigger the fan as opposed to wall mounting.
