Kitchen Fans

Generally speaking, kitchens are larger than bathrooms and require more powerful fans. Building Regulations state that a Kitchen Fan next to a hob needs to have at least 30L/s extraction, whilst those situated anywhere else in the kitchen must achieve installed performance of 60L/s.

The fans listed on this page are either six inch Axial Fans or four inch Centrifugal Fans, towards the bottom of the page. Fans with axial impellers are usually cheaper and can be used if it is to be ducted straight through the wall to the outside world. Centrifugal fans are generally more expensive and are used if the duct run exceeds two metres or includes bends.
