Centrifugal fans are designed to move air efficiently and effectively over longer duct runs in various domestic settings, such as kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and living areas.

Centrifugal fans operate by drawing air into the fan housing through an intake port, which then passes through a series of blades or impellers that accelerate the airflow. Unlike axial fans that move air linearly, centrifugal fans change the direction of the airflow using centrifugal force, hence their name. The accelerated air is then expelled through an outlet port, creating a steady stream of air movement.
