Overview

The Silent Tornado ST100T is an exceptional extractor fan. Using an IP45 rated motor, it is "resistant to jets of water from all angles" and can therefore be installed anywhere in the bathroom. Very powerful and quiet, it is also very energy efficient, using only 7.5w on full power.

The ST100T comes with an integral adjustable over run timer which may be set from 2 to 30 minutes, ensuring your bathroom is completely free of steam and moisture. The ST100T may be ducted up to 5m in a straight run or 4m with with 2 right angled bends and can therefore be installed on the ceiling and ducted through the loft without compromising performance.

In summary, the best bathroom fan on the market by quite a distance and the manufacturers are so confident in its performance and reliability they offer a full five year guarantee. Low noise!

This fan is a lot quieter than the one it replaced. Fitting was fairly easy although the instructions could be a little clearer.

Great fan

I bought this fan to replace a Vent Axia VASF100T as the customer complained that it wasn't powerful enough. I was delighted to find that the bas of the extractor fan Is identical so the fixing holes and cable entry are in the same position. I was disappointed to find the exact same extractor fan for £15 cheaper from Gil lec, I think extractor fan world actually take your money then order it from Gil lec themselves to send to you but I should have looked online and will certainly not fall for this trick in future.

Quiet fan

Effective, easy to fit and good value

Much more effective than the old fan it replaced. Quite capable of sucking a piece of paper to the grill, even when fed into ~5m of mostly solid 125mm pipes with some bends, Y connections and some flexible ducting.

Overall the noise level in the toilet room is 55dB, which is much higher than the spec but I think that's the noise of the air movement and the ducting, not the fan itself which I don't think I can hear over the airflow.

The old plasterboard cutout needed filing out a little, and notched for the power cable, but in my case that was easy.

As far as I can see the run-on time adjustment potentiometer is not labelled, but was easy to adjust with a little trial and error.

Would be happy to buy again.
