Tornado ST100HT Silent 100mm Bathroom Fan Humidistat & Timer

Overview

The Silent Tornado ST100HT is an exceptional extractor fan. Using an IP45 rated motor, it is "resistant to jets of water from all angles" and can therefore be installed anywhere in the bathroom. Very powerful and quiet, it is also very energy efficient, using less than 8w on full power.

The ST100HT comes with an integral adjustable humidistat which may be set from 60 - 90% relative humidity (RH) and adjustable over run timer. This is particularly useful in bathrooms with lots of natural light or those in tenanted properties - where there is a possibility that the lights will not be turned on when the bathroom is in use.

The fan may be ducted up to 5m in a straight run or 3m with 2 right angled bends and can therefore be installed on the ceiling and ducted through the loft without compromising performance.

This model includes Comfort Mode which can be activated by holding the pull cord for 5 seconds. This feature delays the power from the light switch input boost operation for a maximum of 20 minutes to reduce noise and cold drafts while bathing. After the light switch is turned off, the fan will switch on for the same period the light switch had been active (up to 20 minutes), plus the overrun time period if selected (0 or 15 minutes). The LED will slowly blink repetitively (every 4 seconds) during the comfort mode lead-in time period. The LED transitions from blinking to solid LED on when the light switch boost is activated. The fans internal Relative Humidity sensor is disabled during Comfort Mode. This feature resets if there is a power cut.

The integral pull cord also activates the internal 15 minute timer. The timer can be cancelled by pulling the pull cord again.

If you do not wish to utilise these functions, the pull cord can be removed by cutting the cord. If the fan is to be ceiling-mounted, please note that the integral pull cord should be removed, as it will not function if pulled when mounted in this orientation. We would suggest leaving 1cm of cord, which can be tucked up behind the front grille plate in case you wish to reset the fan's timer or comfort mode function in the future.
