Tornado ST100DMEVHT Silent dMEV Continuous Running Extractor Fan Humidistat & Timer

I needed a decent fan for the bathroom due to it not having any windows and the existing fan being next to useless. Since fitting this fan the bathroom has been moisture free and I am very impressed with it's functions and performance.

Brilliant but of kit, keeps our rooms clear of stale air and damp from showers.

Having installed a large number of these, both I and my clients have always been happy with performance. Easy to programme, efficient humidity monitoring and very quiet. Highly recommended.

Looks neat and works well. Trickle function is almost completely silent. At the recommended boost speed for bathrooms it is quite loud but the extraction is very good.

I bought the same fan for my old house and was delighted with its performance and low noise output.

We moved and didn't like the existing fan so ordered the same fan for the new house.

Replaced a secondary PIV unit which was probably bring in too much fresh air for an outbuilding and hence causing condensation of toilet and single pane windows and tumble dryer/washing. Literally streaming nightly. Now the window and loo are bone dry. What a difference.

Excellent quiet fan with the capability to easily monitor and change operating parameters including speed & time of run.

We have it fitted at the end of our shower bath, wired up to come on as the humidity level rises. Been fitted for a week and works perfectly. Great service from extractor fan world.

Easy to swap from my old fan and this Tornado is a huge improvement. It's ceiling mounted and ducted through the roofspace. This fan runs much quieter than the old one (despite having a fully tiled room). We used to have to run a dehumidifier after showering; now, we don't need to as this fan clears the moisture really well - in fact even better and quickly! Instructions can be a bit tricky at first, but once you go through it, it is relatively easy to understand (We've only used the basic setting, as that's all we need). Not sure about the point of having the prism mode, as you can't adjust the settings without taking both covers off anyway and therefore, not sure it's of any benefit or adds an extra value to the product. Apart from those minor issues, I'd highly recommend this fan; in fact we are about to purchase another one for our main bathroom.

Compared to my previous Manrose extractor fan this fan goes above and beyond. After a shower even with my old fan on I always had condensation on the bathroom window and always required a manual wipe. Now with this Tornado fan a couple of hours or less and everything is dry. Great piece of kit.

I researched for a long time before I came across this product and was initially hesitant as I had not heard of the brand previously. However, the reviews were mostly 5-star and the product comes with a 5 year warranty so I went ahead and purchased. Ordering was easy, item arrived within 48 hours, and installation was straight forward. It has been in operation for a couple of weeks now, and so far I can say that I am very pleased with it. It is quite powerful on the max setting, and the trickle function is great. Based on my experience so far I would highly recommend it. Shame there's no 150mm size as I am about to order another one for my kitchen.

Ordered one of these as replacement for existing fan. It is really quiet to the extent I cannot hear it at 10 lps. Having the humidistat only function (rather than switched light live) makes it really convenient and totally suited for our requirements. It was great advice to purchase over others, and now intend to replace 4 more.

Good looking fan and easy to fit. Base was slightly larger than old fan so hid where it had marked ceiling. Not sure about the prism viewer.

The fan is on all the time, which is whats needed for a bathroom to prevent mould.The fan self adjusts its speed to clear steam from showers and from windy weather outside.No draughts,no noisy leaky backdraught shutter.The whole house is now better ventilated and fresher too. It's really quiet, attractive,intelligent and it is wired via the light switch but doesn't need the light on to work so easy swop over.lmportant to set the sensor when there is zero wind outside,you do get as many goes at it that you need.

Programmable, quiet. Much improved removal of bathroom humidity

I have previously had different/more recognized brands in my bathrooms and kitchens. I came across the Tornado by chance on a web-search. Initially I was put off by the price and the fact I hadn't seen the name/brand before. However, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It arrived on time, was well packaged - seemed like good quality. Fitted to bathroom wall - it's a standard fitting - screws close to where previous had been and 100mm duct same as old. The set-up looked a little confusing in the documentation but was actually easy. The old extractor only worked on Humidistat - it has a loft based cut off switch but was hard wired with no Light/Extractor switch) - set this extractor up the same - works on humidistat only. It looks good when fitted, and has been working for over 4 weeks now. It does a great job. Extraction clicks in at reasonable time, is powerful and it is MUCH better at extraction (despite being at 50% max rate) and MUCH quieter than my previous extractors - including a quite expensive, supposedly quiet, Vent-axia in another bathroom. I had initially left it on default trickle flow and the bathroom was always fresh, but with cold weather I have just turned off the trickle flow so warm air in the top of room does not get extracted. Will see how it goes. Realize it is early days but, on current performance, I strongly recommend this extractor. Once the VA extractor in the other bathroom packs in (if not before), I think I will be replacing with another Tornado.

So Far So Good, Brilliant Extraction Rate

Easy to install and with a myriad of options so you can configure the setup exactly as you want it. Nice quality and very quiet in operation at lower speeds. Only downside I have found so far is that when powered off you have to reset your preferred settings, easy enough but requires a screwdriver. Just hoping we don't get many power cuts!

I required a constant trickle fan to help combat damp in a rental property. This is a lovely clean looking fan with a nice shape, multiple settings and quiet when constantly trickling. Humidity sensor a bonus

Quiet can't say how effective it is yet or product's longevity

Not yet installed but this is the second unit we have purchased. Pleased with first purchase so should be fine.

Product is Excellent as was the advice and product knowledge provided by Matt, before and after the sale. I would definitely buy from EFW again.

I was contacted by Matt from their team who was very polite and wanted to help solve my issue with a noisy unit. After sharing a video and explaining I had tried various settings previously, the problem has been identified and a solution found.

This has turned a frustrating experience into a very positive experience, thanks to good old customer service values (very rare these days!)
