Here at Electric World we have been supplying the nation with the Tornado family fan units for over a decade. Both Silent Tornado and Turbo Tube units have been our recommended choice for your extraction needs and we think they’re jolly good!

Introducing the all new Tornado family. Both inline Turbo Tube and axial Silent Tornado ranges have been upgraded, bringing improved performance and enhanced design to the popular ranges.

The Turbo Tube inline fans now boast an impressive 300m3/h maximum extraction rate, upgraded aerodynamic impeller and a ground-up redesign with optimised casing and improved components for a more energy efficient and quieter running unit. The Turbo Tube can be installed with a choice of high or low speed settings. In the low speed mode, the fan runs 200m3/h at 18dB using just 23W. In high speed mode this increases to 300m3/h at 24dB using 25W. With both standard and timer models and either 4 or 6 inch diameter units to choose from, the new and improved Turbo Tube inline fans now also boast a whopping 5 year warranty.

Turning to the Silent Tornado range of axial fans, the range has also undergone a ground-up redesign which now consists of an improved impeller and bearings set, a more aesthetically pleasing and lower profile front grille cover, and quiet running at an impressive 25db across the range. The Silent tornado offers 97m3/h of extraction at just 7.5W and the range has an impressive choice of models including Humidistat, timer, and Passive Infra-red sensor units. The biggest change in the range is the new improved ST100HT which now boasts a comfort mode setting. Operated via a built-in pullcord, this mode can be activated by holding the pullcord for 5 seconds. This feature delays the boost operation for a maximum of 20 minutes to reduce noise and cold drafts while bathing. After the light switch is turned off the fan will switch on for the same period the bathroom light had been active (up to 20 minutes), plus the overrun time period if selected (0 or 15 minutes). As with the Turbo Tube units the Silent Tornado units also come with a 5 year warranty as standard.
