The Airflow Icon range is a great looking axial extractor fan which thanks to its eye-catching 'opening iris' shutter, has become a modern design classic.
The "Eye" of the Airflow Icon opens automatically when the fan is turned on and closes when turned off - Preventing back draughts and cold air from entering the room whilst adding a touch of style.
The range is unique not only by appearance but also by design.
Rather than having different models with different operating functions, the Icon fans come in three sizes, the 15, 30 and 60, with each size available as a mains voltage or low voltage SELV configuration and out of the box has a basic on/off operating mode.

Rather than having different models with different operating functions, the Icon fans come in three sizes, the 15, 30 and 60, with each size available as a mains voltage or low voltage SELV configuration and out of the box has a basic on/off operating mode.
However, this is where the Icon differs from other fan units.
Each fan in the range has a slot to insert a control module of your choosing, including options for pull cord, over-run timer, Humidistat and Passive Infra-red PIR sensor.
These come in a variety of combinations shown here - each of which are available for both standard voltage and SELV fan models.
The 100 mm/4” Icon 15 Bathroom unit can be flush mounted in either the wall or ceiling and with a low-profile fascia, sits unobtrusively in any room.
With an air extraction rate of 76m3/h, it easily surpasses building regulations for bathroom installation.
The more powerful and slightly larger Icon 30 Bathroom & Utility room unit can be installed similarly to the Icon 15 either as a surface mounted 100mm/4” fan or flush mounted as a 150mm/6” install by removing the rear cowl.
With an air extraction rate of 118m3/h, the Icon 30 is perfect for installing in a high use bathroom and meets building regs for utility room installations.
The largest fan in the range, the 150mm/6” Icon 60 Kitchen unit can also be surface or flush mounted as desired and with an air extraction rate of 260m3/h, the Icon 60 is a perfect stylish addition to any domestic kitchen.
If this wasn’t enough, the Icon range also boasts two dMEV models.
The iCONstant units help to eliminate the problems of condensation and mould by continuously extracting on a trickle flow to minimise damp and moist air remaining in the room and boosting to a higher extraction rate when the room is in use.
This ensures that all damp and condensation are completely removed without the need for a large, noisy and power-hungry unit.
Indeed, the iCONstant runs on full power using only 2.9 watts! And on trickle it's even less at 1.07 watts!
The required trickle rate is selected by the installer when the fan is fitted – this is dependent on the application – for toilets select 6l/sec, en-suites, bathrooms and utility rooms select 8 l/sec and kitchens it is 13 l/sec.
The boost will be the next speed level up with a maximum of 20 l/sec.
The iConstants are IPX5 rated and may therefore be installed anywhere in Zones 1 and 2 of the bathroom, in either the wall or ceiling.
The ICSTT model features an over run timer which keeps the boost setting running for 2 / 15 / 30 / 40 minutes.
In addition to the timer function, the ICSTHT model features a humidity sensor that is adjustable between 60% and 90% relative humidity and will turn the fan on when moisture in the bathroom reaches this pre-set level.
