Reliable fan
Replaced like for like after motor failed after approximately 15 years. Cradle was the same as the original so simply slotted in the new fan and rewired. Here's to the next 15 years!

Excellent product though manufacturer needs to supply at a better price
The Airflow AV100T is a great product, easy to swap out from an existing installation, as well as fitting as a new install. It works really well expelling and exchanging air from a steamy bathroom. Cleaning the propeller blade and surrounding area is done simply by the easy removal in the design. The one suggestion is that better sealing of electronics from damp air would be a good idea as this can shorten the life of the unit. I bought this unit from “Extractor fan World” and it has to be said that their service and price was the best I could find and I appreciate that. What is clear though is that this unit is well designed and works well however, this is only a small electric motor with a clever plastic housing design. The cost of purchasing this unit against the cost of actual manufacture is ridiculously wide! I am aware that similar products are priced with the same sort of high margins in the western market, so there is little incentive to reduce the price, but quite frankly they are all profiteering to a sickening level. If Chinese companies start offering something similar directly by the internet at realistic prices, no one would support these western branded companies quite simply because they have been ripped them off for far too long. Western brands beware of the future and the fact that you have ignored how to maintain customer brand loyalty!

Replacing faulty Airflow AV 100T
I've had to replace one of two AV 100T's I have in my loft for two seperate bathrooms, after 5 years of intermitent use. One fan started surging slow/fast, but still extracting some air. I took a meter reading across terminals and noted the voltage surging between 90v and 250 volts at terminals 021 (wires out to the motor).
I removed the motor, took resistance readings and all good, therefore assume there has been a breakdown of a component within the circuit board?
I sent an e-mail to Airflow c/w photo's of my investigation, and offered to return the circuit board for further investigation, but received no response which is disapointing.
The surging fan has now been replaced and working perfectly, but it's a real shame I've had to spend +£50 on a replacement because the old fan was in A1 condition apart from the motor surging?
This is not a reflection on 'extractor fan world' who's service was v.good and excellent value for the replacement AV 100t.
My 3 star rating is based on the product breaking down, but perhaps 'extractor fan world' as a supplier may wish to approach Airflow for comment, because they're not replying to me?
