Envirovent SIL 100T
First class product. Runs almost silently but extracts significant quantities of wet, warm air from a shower room. What I don't particularly like are:-
1. no way of knowing what the delay adjustment represents for fan remaining on when it is switched 'off''; and
2. the release catch for removing the cover is very, very fiddly!!

Quiet reliable fan, no 3A fuse needed
My go-to axial extract fan for most situations, but it has its foibles.
Positives:
- Quiet
- Reliable (no call-backs yet, no failures out of the box yet)
- Looks ok
- Manufacturer doe not specify the requirement to protect the fan with a 3A fuse, unlike many other makes
- Comes with a little plastic tool (that clips into place under the cover) for adjusting the timer
- Comes with a (albeit flimsy) built in backdraft shutter, which can be easily removed if not needed
Negatives:
- The indicator light is on when the fan is running, rather than when the switched live is on. So if the fan is controlled by a pull cord, and the pull cord does not also operate the bathroom lights, then (after you've turned the fan on), you have no way of knowing, other than your memory, whether the fan will stay on permanently, or whether you turned it off (with the pull cord) and it's just on its run-on timer. On other models, such as Vent-Axia, the indicator gives the status of the switched live. Can be resolved by having a pull cord with neon (if there's a neutral available at the switch), or by replacing the 3-pole isolator (if there is one) with an isolator and neon (e.g. using Click Minigrid).
- There is no adjustment on the 4 mounting holes, i.e. they are holes rather than 45 degree slots. No problem if it's a fresh install, but it's unlikely these will line up with existing plugs
- Cable entry is bottom left, and the gubbins takes up a fair amount of space along the top and right hand side, so for retrofit installs where cable entry is top right and you can't pull more cable through, this is going to be tricky
- It's very easy to remove the cover while the fan is sat in your hands, but it can be very difficult to do so once mounted. So get the run-on time set how the client wants it before you put the cover on
- As it's very low profile, it needs a good flat surface to sit on - not very forgiving of poor wall/ceiling finishes
- The tube at the back sticks out a bit further than some
