Envirovent Mechanical Extract Ventilation

Envirovent Mechanical Extract Ventilation

The Envirovent MEV160 & MEV300 range of Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) are sophisticated and efficient ventilation systems designed to maintain indoor air quality by removing pollutants, excess moisture, and odors from residential and commercial buildings. This technology relies on mechanical fans and ductwork to ensure a continuous and controlled exchange of stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air.

MEV operates through a network of strategically placed vents and exhaust points, drawing air out of spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms. The extracted air is then transported through dedicated ducts to a central fan unit, which expels it outside. Simultaneously, fresh outdoor air is drawn into the building through intake vents, promoting a balanced airflow and preventing the accumulation of contaminants.

Both the Envirovent MEV160 & MEV300 systems offer several benefits beyond improved air quality. They help prevent the growth of mold and mildew by controlling humidity levels, enhancing the overall health and comfort of occupants. Additionally, MEV aids in compliance with building regulations that require adequate ventilation to ensure occupant well-being.

In conclusion, Mechanical Extract Ventilation is a modern and effective solution for maintaining healthy indoor environments. By employing mechanical fans, ducts, and heat recovery systems, MEV efficiently removes pollutants, moisture, and odors, promoting superior air quality, energy savings, and occupant well-being in various settings such as houses, flats, and other communal residences, such as care homes and student accommodation.

The MEV160 is a versatile and compact unit with airflow rates up to 75l/s (270 m3/hr). While the larger MEV300 offer increased extraction levels of 103l/s (370 m3/hr). Both options are available with either a wired boost switch or a wireless battery-operated switch (MEV160W / MEV300W).
Fitted with Intellitrac humidity tracking the MEV range monitors humidity levels in the property and boosts when required to reduce humidity and ultimately condensation and mould.
The range is supplied with 3 extract spigots with the option of a further 3 points as standard and is suitable for, flexible, solid and semi-rigid ductiing.
